On 11th March 2021, the kick-off meeting of the European CounterRisk project took place with the presence of all the project partners. This meeting allowed the consortium members to present the work plan and the main activities and results of the Project formally.
The European CounterRisk project « New skills to face the risks of counterfeiting in consumer goods », led by AIJU, addresses the risks of counterfeiting of children’s products by developing innovative training tools on the protection of intellectual property rights, the safety of children’s products and how new technologies, such as blockchain, can help fight against counterfeiting.
The project is aimed mainly at professionals from children’s product businesses, especially SMEs, and technical staff from consumer organizations, as a key group that reaches out to people who buy consumer products for children, both online and in brick and mortar shops.
In particular, the project will develop two intellectual products, a NOOC (nano online open course) for the staff of consumer associations and a NOOC for companies in the children’s products sector.
The purpose of the CounterRisk project is to help improve the skills of professionals in this field and raise awareness of the economic and health risks that counterfeits pose to society.
During the first meeting, the partners agreed to carry out a series of virtual workshops to start the process of creating training content through the e-Learning Lean Design methodology, based on the definition of the archetypes / potential users of the NOOC ( nano online open course) for the consumer profile.
The CounterRisk project is a project carried out by a European consortium, led by AIJU (Spain), which includes the University of Strasbourg (France), Lucentia Lab (Spain), the Association for the Promotion of Child Safety (Portugal) and the Czech Toy Association (Czech Republic).
In addition, the project also has the support of the Maastricht European Private Law Institute (M-EPLI); the European consumer voice in standardization (ANEC), Alicante Science Park, European Association for Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion (EUROSAFE) and the Cluster of Innovative Companies of the Toy Valley-CEIV.
Our innovative work methodology allows us to involve potential users from the beginning, so if you are interested in the project you can contact us at proyectosseguridad@aiju.es and we will explain how to participate.
